Train The Way You Fight
Every Class we instruct for your CHL San Antonio, we ask the same questions: How often do you go to the range and pull your weapon from that ankle holster to engage the target? When was the last time you saw a female pull her weapon from her purse and put rounds down range? The responses are all the same: “Never.”
In the heat of battle, when your adrenaline is pumping and time seams to stand still, will YOU be prepared to pull your weapon and stop the threat? You have to “Train the Way you Fight” and build that muscle memory that will kick in when the need arises. If you’re shooting for fun and firing off 200 rounds at the range, then so be it. If you’re training for the unexpected, then fewer rounds is usually better.
Next time you go to the range, pick one or two things you want to practice on. Perfect those before you move on to other things. Remember, quality of shooting far outweighs the quantity of rounds you’ve placed down range. Try not to lose focus; the goal is to go home at the end of the day.
Who out there goes out on a Friday night to eat with their spouse and automatically starts identifying the exit points to the establishment? These are just types of questions we ask our students in the San Antonio Concealed Handgun Class we instruct. The concept is to open up their minds to the possibilities that could arise at any given time. Again, training the way you fight will better prepare and equipped you with the tools you need to protect yourself and your family.
